户张作遗址

户张作遗址于1988年至1996年期间进行发掘调查,发现了从弥生时代到古坟时代的村落遗迹。
自弥生时代以来,由于水稻种植的普及,许多聚落都选择建在靠近水源的低地附近,但同时也要避开洪水,因此多位于略微高起的丘陵地带。户张作遗址正是如此,其位于葭川（よしかわ）支流西侧,海拔约20米的台地,是适宜居住的地理环境。
据调查发现了弥生时代的环壕聚落（即以深沟围绕、进行区划的村落）,古坟时代的大量竖穴式住居遗迹以及9座古坟,其中2座古坟目前仍被保存在東寺山第2公園内。

在发掘的古坟中,出土了装饰有银象嵌（银制镶嵌装饰）的直刀及铁制箭镞等重要文物,显示出当地曾有强大豪族的据点。
从弥生时代起,该地便已发展出较大的核心聚落,户张作遗址印证了本地区早期开发的历史,是极具研究价值的重要遗址。

토바리사쿠(戸張作)유적은 1988년부터 1996년까지 발굴 조사가 있었고,야요이(弥生)시대부터 고훈(古墳)시대에 이르는 마을의 흔적이 발견되었습니다. 야요이 시대 이후 벼농사가 본격화되면서,물이 풍부한 저지대에 가까우면서도 약간 높은 토지에 많은 취락이 형성되었습니다. 토바리사쿠 유적 또한 요시카와(葭川) 지류를 서쪽에 둔,해발 약 20m의 대지 위에 있어 거주하기에 적합한 장소입니다.
조사를 통해,야요이시대 환호취락(環濠集落,깊은 도랑으로 둘러싼 마을),다수의 고훈 시대 수혈주거(竪穴住居),9개 고분이 발견되었으며,그 중 2개 고분은 현재도 공원 내에 보존되어 있습니다. 조사된 고분에서 은상감(銀像嵌) 장식이 있는 직도(直刀)와 철촉(鉄鏃)이 출토되어,유력 호족의 거점이 있었음을 알 수 있습니다.
야요이시대 이후 핵심 취락이 형성되는 등,이 지역이 일찍부터 개척되었음을 전하는 중요한 유적이라고 할 수 있습니다.

Remains of Tobarisaku

The excavation of the remains of Tobarisaku took place from 1988 to 1996 and the remains of a village dating from the Yayoi Period to the Kofun Period were discovered. The cultivation of rice became popular after the Yayoi Period, so many settlements were built on elevated ground near lowlands which had plenty of water. The remains of Tobarisaku were located on a plateau about 20 metres above sea level, overlooking a tributary of the Yoshikawa River to the west, making it an ideal place for people to settle.
The excavations uncovered a moated settlement (a deep trench surrounding a settlement) from the Yayoi Period, remains of pit dwellings from the Kofun Period, as well as nine ancient burial mounds, two of which are still preserved today in Higashiterayama Park No.2. Straight swords with silver inlays on the guard and iron arrowheads were excavated from the burial mounds, indicating that this was the base of a powerful clan. Tobarisaku is an important archaeological site which tells us that this area was actually quite developed from an early stage, with a core settlement having been established there since the Yayoi period.
