, was also wiped out by Toyotomi Hideyoshi. However, under the protection of Tokugawa Ieyasu, Daigan-ji Temple prospered as one of the eighteen Jodo sect training temples in Kanto during the Edo period. The Shoin study room, which is registered as a National Registered Tangible Cultural Property along with the main hall, conveys the atmosphere of how the Jodo sect studied and were educated back then to the present day. このページの情報発信元 教育委員会事務局生涯学習部文化財課 千

The main temple building features the Chiba clan’s family crest, the moon-and-star crest. It is thought that Ungan Shonin, a descendant of Takeshi Taneshige, founded this temple in 1558 to memorialize the spirit of Taneshige, who was the grandson of Chiba Tsunetane. that Yoshiaki actually used the northern Oyumi Castle as his headquarters. The excavation of Minami-Oyumi Castle has not yet been carried out, so it is not known when it was established. Upon further investigation of the layout and structure of the moat and embankments which once existed around the main enclosure, as well as the structure of the defense mechanisms protecting the entrance and exit, it seems possible that the castle could have been constructed after the middle of the 16th century. During the latter stages of the Warring States Period, the Chiba Clan relocated to Motosakura Castle (

known as Ochanomizu (literally, “water for tea”). There was originally spring water here. The Buddhist deity Fudō Myō Ō (also known as Acala) was enshrined beside the spring, so the spring is also known as “the spring of Fudō”. While its waters have long since dried up, there are two main theories regarding the origins of how this location came to be known as Ochanomizu. The first theory comes from a legend surrounding Minamoto no Yoritomo. In the year 1180, after losing the Battle of Ishibashiyama in Sagami Province (currently Odawara City, Kanagawa Prefecture), Yoritomo went to Awa Province

says that the statue was built by the Ando Clan of Takashina Castle in 1571, when Chiba Kunitane’s coming-of-age ceremony also took place. The Unearthing of Takashina Castle through an Excavation As a result of the excavations conducted in 1995 to 1996, it was revealed that the main fortress was situated on the western edge of the plateau, thus taking full advantage of the cliff. There was a wooden bridge over the dry moat that separated Zone II and Zone III. Drawing on these facts, it is clear that Takashina Castle had a very strong defence

Why "Chibanosuke Guide"?? Chibanosuke Guide Hey everyone, were you able to access everything okay?? By the way, why is it called "Chibanosuke Guide" and not "Chiba Clan Guide"? What does "Chibanosuke" mean? "Chibanosuke" was a prestigious title passed down only to the head of the main Chiba family line. A name of great honor, it was. But, well... I'd be mighty glad if folks just called me Chibanosuke-san, all friendly-like.
